Error: MySQL server has gone away Error No: 2006

Happens to me when I update 4-5 orders at once.
And when I update orders, the process triggers an SMTP email and SMS
Which clearly a lot to process.
I am using 1cpu + 2gb ram on my vultr vps
Using vestacp panel
This can be resolved by increasing your database config
max_allowed_packet
wait_timeout
My setting
max_allowed_packet = 999M
wait_timeout=31536000
